Phoenix like did it rise,
From its own ashes,
it had disappeared into,
The ruins of the past,a void so dark,
That even the seven hued beauty of the bows of the rain,
Did all seem to fade in it.
Yet did it rise, so magnificent and erect,
as if to regain its splendor back,
And cherish that one little word,
That this world doth all move holds,
Sweeter than even the bliss itself,
"HOPE"- the light of a glorious dawn.
Lone rider perched on thy hilltop
Protector of the land you call your own
Hero of justice, Wielder of might
Your mystery to be told is a treasure to behold
Riding on thy noble steed
Breed from the strongest of beasts
Mighty wild uncontrollable, untamed
Faithful only to your reign
Legend speaks of you ,the mightiest of men
Roaming the fields with thy speed unmatched
In pursuit of evil to slay, innocence to save
Rewarded with nothing but fear and reverence with thou is lashed
Where thou comes from no one knows
Beyond the mist -mysteriously appear
With a sword as sharp as your mind
leaving nothing but dust at your hind
Shadow of death for those preying on the weak
Messiah for those you save from a ghastly fate
Thou words echo in every valley
EVIL DOERS BEWARE!
They say your sword is as mighty as thy word
But no one sees it and lives to tell the tale
A mystery only legend speaks of
Slayed an entire army with mighty gail
Oh lone rider! So fine thy mystery to behold!
No doubt your story will be told
about thy wisdom and thy sword
and the noble steed whose reins you hold

Kiddies
"I want to pway tompuuuter!!" That's what i get when i am too good with my eldest nephew -___-* I know kiddies are cute and i have a knack to handle them but still there's a limit to it all. The tragedy doesn't end here you know.. If you have a nephew in an Eight floor building then you have to find playmates for him too or else you are the bad aunt in front of him when you are tired and say no to end his nagging, then you are definitely a loser in front of him. The worst possible thing is the kid has got a taste for cards. He saw the elders playing cards and now he wants to play. I tried teaching him Uno and i kind of made him stop yelling for cards but that was temperory diversion. He yells " I want to play Blind, pack and show" -_______-|| This show of love for cards makes me think of the new generation that will witness this stuff and what they will say?? Probably " I have money and i wanna play even if i have to borrow it from mum" O_O may be..who can predict??
The kid was all worked up for my b'day party lunch and ordered (Yes he did order) my mum to cook macaroni, pizza and mini-burgers. My mum is fast one and she told him if you are coming here then you are gonna eat whatever i cook. That silenced him. We had chhola bhaturas though one of his fav. I thought the day will never end but the fresh demand to get kulfis for elders riled the little tyke. He went with me and in that grocery store he demanded to buy the new Ben10 Toy worth 170 bucks and i had only 100 on me. -_______-|| He was seriously pissing me with his demand and the sales lady was having a good time out of it. Thankfully he wanted to pee. Dad took him to a corner street and i bought whatever was needed and stashed back the toy and told the truth "No money left" and as if the kid won't give in.. "You will go back later on and buy it" :X *sigh* This was not the end of the tiring demanding day. I called my neighbour's kids and they had demand to have eatables. First pakodas and then papads. He didn't even eat half of them. Before he could make other demand the youngest of my neighbour kids peed on my bro's side of bed and then he said,"I wanna pee". Now that was hilarious since it was my bro's side :D but i would have bonked the kid if it would have been my side. ^_^**(somethings make us selfish no?) finally with the change of payjamas for the youngest(he wanted to run up the stairs naked below waist and i had to drag him back -____-||) my cutie little nephie poo left after 8 in the night. By that time my family was totally spent on running after him and giving in to his demands. See that's what my nephew gets.. And what about me?? My uncle and Aunts would have said, "Go Fish" -_____-**

(turns around and sleep)
Pinki's mum:- Now whats wrong with her??
Bro:- Its your call. Since i cant help you people out in your work she is alone so she is all worked up. Give her a break for a while will you?? she has her own issues to solve.
Pinki's mum:- I'll make her clean that cobweb and make her kill the spider.
pinki(Under the covers):- As if i will.

Happy Diwali!!
One year down from last Diwali which was quite uncomfortable and teary for me. No thanks to my Mum. Same this time too. All she did was mention certain subjects i hate to even think about and she starts my circuits getting shocks and too much energy. So this time i indulged in working on some stuff to b prepared on Diwali. For instance a kalash i bought for 25 bucks and i had this sudden urge to paint it. And according to my desire i painted it with poster colours and it got the llok i wanted. Something different as i am in my family. But the intervention of my mum made me think on my choice twice. I had to borrow acryllic colours and paint it again. And the result was what i so not wanted. After some glittery effect i got it totally traditional one. All right i agree that it is traditional but the problem is many people go for traditional on special occassions. So Why not something different for change?? girls wear suits in different style and mainly on Diwali because its traditional, guys wear sherwanis and sometimes formal pant suits, because its formal but is a part of tradition these days.
Anyways, always following tradition makes some people like me feel that some minor changes will add to the enjoyment of the festivities. People, People , People!! Happy Diwali to all those people who are reading this. Enjoy !! :)

End of Happy Days
See i wrote before that my new beginnings are always bad ones. What else could b worst than landing up with a new principal of our college who almost banned jeans for girls in college and thanks to her i am proud of government intervention for the first time in my 23 years of short life. I thought i was going crazy with all this syllabus and friendship troubles but i can never compete with the madness of our college principal.
She gave the authority to clerks of administration office to check the bags of girls whenever they can. How dare she!! this gave free reigns to the employees to lay there foul hands on whatever they can touch. If they came across a student's mobile, it ended up with being sold and the money being split 50-50 among them. As if this was not enough they pawed on private objects brought by students. One incidence that stopped this was about a muslim girl's ornament being taken from her. She and her family had a nice meeting which made the doormen twitching hours later. The staff member returned the ornament through a third person and then the checking bag system was done with.
Now as if this torment was not enough the Principal made a rule that teachers will take only 2 days leave in a month. How stupid!! Teachers who are pursuing higher degree courses have to travel country for their research work. How could she expect them to be back in 2 days time??she is one hell of a b****.
well things were ok as far as this goes but she went beyond the limits when she slapped a girl for talking on mobile outside college premises. She was using the mobile outside not inside but still... she suspended the girl too. A whole class of political science girls is on verge of suspension for not turning up in the class at 9 Am. Well that's expected. And she followed a girl to a PCO across the street and suspended her for using its services. If she would have put the same amount of effort in getting the shop closed that sells Pan masalas and what not and a adda for roadside romeos and men who stalk girls it would have been commendable.
She has issues with the Department of english and students of the same department for God knows what reason. And not a single day passes out without having a sigh of relief that one more day gone without her plunging for our throats. I will be happier as soon as i leave this college. This last year has proved that it's the worst year of my life where my friendship and college life are concerned. I hope and wish that my love life shouldn't meet the same fate.

An Unforgettable rainy day!!
yes coming from me rainy day that too unforgettable is kind of miracle. Y? because i don't like rains. When i get drenched i get a headache, so my apprehensiveness for rains. Well as a kid i loved it but since i grew up out of my teens i never like it much giving me the claustrophobic feeling. I still can't find the reason though.
Well i got this rainy day on 11th August. Quite a nice day it was but i was locked up studying in my room for my Back paper. It was sunny and i had this bad idea of going out and get my stuff photocopied for no valid reason. I could always ask my dad or bro to get them done for me. But still i went out and got my work done. By the time i came out of the shop it was raining hard. So a nice thought of getting shelter in a friend's place came and i went there to find her home locked -___-**
What else could i ask for now. So had to walk out in rain which made my happy time go all depressive on me. And i let those depressive thoughts ride on my mind. What a bad beginning of the year and all that crap which i never thought i will indulge in. But in the end i ended up shivering, right outside my door with thoughts of weird and empty life and tears down my eyes that were thought of as rain drops by my mum.
(ended up getting worst headache too -_____-||)

Senior Year and Seniority
Who doesn't want to be a senior for once in their life and show some attitude for gaining such position?? A position gained after years of hard work in passing out the classes and finally being one of the seniors of college is one of the exhilarating experience for all those seniors who are "bad guys" . With the term "bad guys" I mean those people who indulge in unasked for activities such as - ragging the juniors, tearing down the benches, getting involved in college politics to the extent of using firearms and buttering up the influential people now and again. In short Bad guys are those who have the hand in getting us holidays for no reason such as public holiday at all. In my case I am ready to use the term "bad girls" who do the same in girls college where I study.
I forgot to mention that the experience and its influence is felt by the decent people too. But they are different from the others because they know how to avoid trouble and show the seniority to a certain extent. During my 4 years in my college I never came across a senior who tried to show bad seniority to me or my group for certain reasons such as-
1) My group stayed in background.
2) My group was influential enough to report the matter to the Chief Proctor of College because I knew her.
3) One of my friend's sister is the Lecturer in college.
4) The students in college never recognized each other as senior or junior since its difficult to point them out.
5) We always faked we are the seniors whenever someone tried to be shirty with us.
I have been meeting my classmates who are decent enough to give a damn to the fact that they are seniors and I met some today who are under the category of "bad girls". I have drawn a line to the extent of my mixing up with the bad girls group so our meeting is "Hi" and "Hello" and certain snatches of conversation which involved the words that I blush furiously to think of and embarrassed enough to mention here.
People might be reading and thinking that why am I wasting words when they already know what's what in their senior year, but you see I am just laying down the foundation of two experiences I have had with regard to seniority in past 3 days.
First of all you people should know that I look younger than I actually am which resulted in the first incidence. The whole thing started in the Staff Room of English department. The juniors were getting their forms signed by the Incharge and I was being rebuked by other teachers for my bad performance. The juniors thought I was their junior and tried to pick on me after i left the room. But unfortunately for them one of the teacher's turned up to ask the release date of Harry Potter(she is Harry Potter buff and i made my project under her supervision) and the juniors had to go away. The teacher understood the problem I might face told the girls that I was a senior and if they came to me with the hopes of getting some help in their subject I might help them if they asked decently. Now that made my day after a terrible start I had in staff room and was on point of blubbering out at home in my bathroom the first thing I might have done on reaching home. But the gobsmacked looks on their faces was enough for me to forget all about it.
The other incident took place today itself when I was standing in 10 feet long line of students while depositing our fees. We all worked hard (changing positions and relieving the aching foot and stuff You know people do while standing) for quarter an hour and I got the chance to submit my fees finally. But another girl turned up who was in my year and shoved her hand inside the window and that act was enough to flare one up. You see when a person is frustrated, patient and miserable all at once then no one should cross him/her. Well the juniors protested the girl's act of cutting the line and i told her off for showing her seniority somewhere else but not here since i was her age and the other stuff. But still the girl had her fees submitted and told them to shove their hands too if they have any problems and threatened the girls to see them outside the college. The girl didn't say anything to me because she knew me and she knows now that i will be out looking for her and will be giving her a piece of my mind. I told the juniors to remember my name (Thank Goodness I din't made them learn it since my name is memorable, all they had to do was remember Jagjit Singh) and if any kind of trouble is aroused they can approach me or my fellow students in a certain class and they are sure to get help.
There is a way of showing Seniority to the juniors and people should know it how to because their negligence in certain ways lead to bad impressions and bad relationships between seniors and juniors. Just considering the Juniors for once as humans or remembering the times when we were once juniors and how we might have looked in that position is no big deal, and changing the outlook of seniority for the sake of name of college and country will be a best step taken by the young generation. Ragging done in a decent way so as not to make a junior feel so haunted to commit suicide will never be appreciated. Though it is banned but some people still do it because their hands itch after getting the promotion in senior most year of the college. Well it can not be avoided but people can try on that part i guess....

Missing Someone
There are parents and grandparents almost in every family. Parents play their role in raising their kids and Grandparents play their role in raising their grand children. Grand parents give ethical education to the kids and Parents teach them about manners and behavior as expected of their children in modern society.
What happens if one doesn't have grand parents?? what if one of the parents or one of the grand parent is missing from one's life? It depends on how a person takes it. I never got the love of my grand fathers from both of my parent's side. Though i did had maternal grandmother whom i lost when i was in 7th grade. When i grew up i started feeling the missing link of my life. I missed having an old man in my life who could tell us more about the life of his times and life he lead as a boy. It's different to hear it from one's grandmother because the way of telling about one's life is different and telling about someone else's life is different.
I came across many old people in my life and started thinking of one couple as my grandparents and called them so. They never minded me calling them so. I liked to hear stories from them and about life in their times. But I still missed the presence of my original Grandparents. But one can't change the reality of life and has to face it time and again. Same goes for the people who have lost their parents or a parent in their life. They didn't get the same care and love as they could have in the presence of their lost ones. After all a child needs his mother and father both to raise him.
The grandparents are important in their own way. They guide and give the knowledge in the form of stories, either from their lives or from the old writers. They inspire kids in their own way. These old time thinkers are valuable in their own way as the thinkers of our modern times are. No matter what their thoughts are regarding the gradual changing modern world, but there are some grand parents who adjust according to the modernity and accept the changes as they are presented. As it is known by people out there, not all the people have the same thinking.

A Regular Family Incident-3
Ana:- Man!! I could n't sleep last night.
Priya:- Why so?
Ana:- I was studying last night and went to sleep at 12 as usual and then I felt hot while sleeping because mum switched off my fan as my parents are afraid of the fan coils being burned while using it with inverter.
Priya:- Then??
Ana:- Well I woke up at 3:15 and switched on my fan and slept again.
Priya:- So? u slept again? Then how come you could not sleep later on?
Ana:- Well, listen to me first...I did turn in after that but i dreamed that i was being chased by S.T. Coleridge who wrote Rime Of Ancient Mariner in our syllabus, and he wanted to kill me because i attempted his question in the previous paper and my answer was not up to his poetic fantasies.
Priya:- Hahahahahaha... poor you
Ana:- And the worst of this was i heard something in my room... someone saying something
Priya:- Huh? What? Who?
Ana:- Well I myself was so scared stiff that I got two things in my mind 1) someone's in my room 2) I am dreaming with my eyes open
Priya(shudders):- Did you find out who or what was it??
Ana:- Well , I woke up an literally yelled with thudding heart "Who's There??" And guess what I saw next??
Priya:- What??
Ana:- My mum was sleeping next to me because her room's fan had stopped working and she was muttering a word or two in her sleep
Priya:- Awww...poor u..
.
Ana:- It was 4:15 in the morning
Priya:- hehehehehe
Ana:- And i had stomach ache next. All thanks to these two night wanderings
Priya:- hehehehehe... U do get into something while sleeping no?
Ana(sighs):- Don't bother..

Ray:- WHAT?? U CALLED MUM ZOMBIE??

A regular family incident
Preeti, Priyansh and their parents in car.....
Preeti:- Can I go to Jaipur with Arti this summer?? with her family of course.
Mum:-No
Preeti:- Can I visit our relatives in kolkata with Sheena?? Her in-laws are there and she is going back for a few days.
Mum:- No
Preeti:-Can we go out of this blasted city for a few days during my vacation??
Mum:- Mind your language young lady and the answer is no. Besides you will be getting a big No every time you ask the question regarding vacation.
Dad:- I'd prefer driving in silence which you guys lack in.
Preeti:- Can i drive the car??
Mum & Dad:- No
Preeti(grumbling):- What's the use of having a driver's licence when I am not allowed to drive the car and what's the use of being of 23 when i am not allowed to go out and have fun?
Priyansh:- Well keep grumbling and one of these days you'll be given the opportunity to do what you want.
Preeti(snorts):- Yeah as if u said it and it will be so.
Dad:- Will you two stop bickering?? Its difficult to drive when two of you are bickering and making noise.
Preeti(irritated):- I hate this.
Priyansh(muttering):- Join the club sis. They are planning to kill us of boredom this summer.
Preeti:-geez...its nothing new bro. Let's wait for their plans to be revealed this summer.

Our Family
Our Family...sounds good when we all say or hear such words. These words make us feel that we have some people in our life with whom we have a spiritual relationship. Every family has to face good and bad times, i know there's nothing new in this fact but what about those people who suffer the good and bad times alone... without a family.
The other day i met a little beggar child who asked for alms from me and my friend. I gave him a rupee and asked him where is his family and what does his father do? he says" India is my family. All these people who give me alms or kick me or feed me instead of giving money are my relatives." my friend and i couldn't believe on what he said so i asked again,"why do u consider this country as your family?" he replied," because in this world i have no one to call my own except this country. If anything good happens to it, i am happy. If anything wrong happens to it, i suffer with the people."
See how a beggar child can say so easily that i love my country and its a big family. Its difficult for most of us to say this because we don't come out from our general family sphere. It's like a circle is made for some of us and we don't have to move out of it unless permitted to be a part of the big family either by defending it or voting for the leaders, otherwise bound to the natural family and have the arrogance and say, "who cares? It will be same for next ten years to come why should we bother about our country and why should we try to change it?"
There are people who don't even consider that if they start bringing changes in a family it will be better for the next generation to come. The new generation will play more active role in it. Nothing wrong can happen if changes are meant for the betterment of the country and its people and this implies not to India alone but all the countries of the world.
There are other people who do take active part in the scenario of changing the phase of the country but these people are always facing the setbacks in their roles. Who's fault is it? Nobody can determine it.
And finally there are those who change the scenario to some extent but then they lie dormant for their own benefits.
Bringing changes in the family, whether the changes are big or small one has to make efforts in that field. The only difference in the natural family and country is that we can bring changes in our natural family on small scale but in country we have to make changes on large scale. If family members won't bring changes in the family then who will??
